I teach workshops and classes because I believe in the power of creativity to release you from fear, and the lie that creativity "is for the artists, the select special ones" ––OH HECK NO. Not on my watch.
I teach because I believe in the power of play––to bring rest, and even healing, to your often tired heart and mind.

so why watercolour?
1 – IT'S A WHACKLOAD OF FUN
2 – it's one of the more economical art forms
3 – a little paint goes a loooooong way (we're talking years, people)
4 – it's kid-friendly, pretty neat (unless you're jackson pollock), and easy to clean
5 – it's compact (I travel all around the world with my painting kit!)

the how
The live courses have finished but you can still purchase access to the recordings, making it fully customisable according to what you'd like to learn
Due to the group nature of the recorded classes, you will still feel like you are in the live class with the other students and you can gain extra insight from their questions!
There are two types of classes: TUTORIAL + PAINT–ALONG
See below for a detailed explanation of what each class entails.
You will get link access to your chosen classes for 4 weeks, so you can watch in your own time. *These will not be downloadable
CLASSES EXPLAINED:
BEGINNER'S TUTORIAL
WHAT TO EXPECT:

length: 1h30 - 2h max

a break-down of the basics of watercolour incl. materials, basic colour mixing, and the 3 main techniques I apply in my work

a live demo of the specific theme
-
I am teaching you to PLAY and create impressions, not perfect renditions of an image (you can release that breath now)
-
time at end to practice the 3 techniques + listen to some Q&A about the techniques.
BEGINNER'S
PAINT–ALONG
WHAT TO EXPECT:

length: 1 hour approx.

this session is for you to practice!

we will start with a warm-up of the 3 techniques you learned in the beginner's tutorial
-
we all paint the same image, so you can see how I apply the tutorial lesson and then you follow along
-
these Paint-Along sessions have received extremely positive feedback and my students always feel better equipped to tackle artwork son their own after doing these sessions!
STEP-UP
TUTORIAL
WHAT TO EXPECT:

length: 1h30 max
-
a step-up from the beginner's tutorial, leaning into more techniques and pushing the basics we learned previously
-
a live demo of the specific theme
-
I am teaching you to PLAY further, and push where you are comfortable

time at end to practice the new techniques + listen to some Q&A about the techniques.
STEP-UP
PAINT-ALONG
WHAT TO EXPECT:
